no news

I've heard no news yet about Daisy. That's not true...she doesn't have a virus or spywear, and there is nothing wrong with hardware. They are doing a test on the operating system...still have fingers crossed that they don't have to wipe everything from the computer!

New set of templates!

Hey world.
Seriously, I have had the worst day! It has turned out nothing like I planned. Nothing.
Good news, my parents called this morning, and decided on the spur of the moment that they were coming today! YEAH! This is pretty much the only weekend they will get to see H play basketball, so they are on their way any minute! That's the good news...
The bad news you ask? Yeah, that would be my computer, Daisy, as I affectionately call her. She's in a serious bad way. She is currently on the blink and is at the dr. (Best Buy)...I realized while having a near break down at Best Buy that I have a problem. I'm addicted to my computer. She is my very best friend! That's sad! She is truly my means to the world around me. I use her to work...freelance write. Plus, I use her to design and scrap (more work and my play/relaxation/therapy). In addition, I use her to keep up with my friends...both in real life (facebook, message boards/email) and online (you scrappin' friends I've made).
They don't know how long it will take to get her fixed, think its the operating system, but might be hardware. Good news...no virus and I have all my data backed up (DO THIS NOW PEOPLE!). Thank God for Carbonite online and two external hard drives. (I know, I'm obsessed!) Luckily, we do have a desktop. It's three+ years old, and we keep it in the kitchen for the kids to mess around with. I've moved the CPU back into my office, spent 4 hours cleaning it up from stupid software to defragging it. Now she's running smoothly and has bunches of space on the hard drive. One bad thing? That would be, no photoshop. none. zip, zero! And, I could load PSE6, but the dvd drive is out. So, we are stuck for now.

Now that you've gotten through my rant about my great day...on to more important things. I have a new template set out! It's called "3s Company" because each template is for 3 photos! I designed these one day waiting in line for M at preschool. You can click the preview to go to the SM store and grab it for only $2.25!!!

A Day of History

I spent the entire day watching CNN. Okay, so occasionally changed the channel to Fox News and CBS, but mostly, it was CNN. I couldn't take my eyes off the television and to know that I was watching history being made! I am not one to talk about politics...or at least not to people I don't know and love. I rarely will talk about my political stands either. But, I just think that everyone, no matter who you voted for, has to take in what has happened! We've got a new president! We have our first African-American president! Just absolutely amazing.

I so enjoyed watching the faces of the people in the crowd, the everyday, ordinary people who made the trek to DC. I love seeing hope in faces that may have never had hope before! Amazing. I loved hearing stories of those people who marched with Dr. King and fought for the rights for all! It is just so very touching!

Also, I love watching the Obamas as a family unit. Those little girls are just precious! I look forward to seeing them grow up. I love it! I think Michelle Obama just has class!

I cannot wait to see how everything plays out, but for today, I just have appreciation for history. So much so, that I truly cannot put it into words. I'm not a writer, but oh, how I wish I were! I am an artist tho, so here is how I have expressed my feelings.

Happy New Year! I wish everyone a wonderful new year and many blessings this year!!!

We are finally back home and it felt SO good to sleep in my own bed! I went to bed early last night and slept in! Thank goodness M decided to go back to sleep this morning until 9:30!
