So, click the link at the top...and have fun with the DD! I'll be back later with a possible sneak peek at Friday's new release!

What's wrong with me?

I'm not sure what's going on...for about two weeks now, I just haven't wanted to be at my computer. Weird I know, b/c I'm usually at it all the time. And as a result, I've neglected my blog! Not a ton going on in my world right now. We are watching lots of football....shout out to da Boys for their win on Monday Night Football! In addition, we bought an elliptical machine; and, as a result, have started working out daily. I just finished my workout this morning, and I'm pooped! But, I can totally tell a difference each day. I can go longer and longer. By the end of Oct, I hope to be exercising for 30-45 minutes, that should be a couple of miles a day! Plus, I hope to lose a few pounds before Heath and I head to Maui! But, for me, my biggest milestone is no Dr. Pepper for a week! Today is Day 8 and I've really only craved one a couple of times. Now anyone who knows me, knows that this is a major accomplishment. I'm proud of myself. I guess, this is where my stubborn nature comes into play. I've challenged myself and can't bear the thought of failing! LOL!

Now for an announcement:

Daily Download at SM starts tomorrow! We have a fantastic new kit "Get a Move On" by WM[squared] Designs, Trixie Designs, Plump Dumpling Designs, Pressed Petals Designs, and myself!
Here is the preview:

So, we'll see you tomorrow! I'll post some wonderful pages here, along with a link to the forum at SM!

Volleyball Season

Good morning everyone! I have read tons of threads at various scrapping sites, that people are needing a volleyball kit. Since I played volleyball in high school, I had immediate interest in this type of sports kit! The only issue I had was colors! should I match my other sports kits with primary colors or the Diamond All Stars softball kit? I was going to try to mix the two, but it just didn't go together! So, logically, I did both! Take a look!

"Side Out" matches the Triple Pack Sports! "Dig In the Sand" matches Diamond All Stars!

I also made some word art! This Volleyball Word Art comes in black and is easy to recolor/resize!! In addition, I included bonus RubOn Volleyball Word Art!!!

For this week only: Buy either kit and get the word art FREE!!! OR, if you can't decide which you want, you can buy the Volleyball Combo Pack, and get the Volleyball Word Art FREE!!!

Here is the page I created with "Dig In the Sand"

Here is what the Hunnies created with these kits:

Seriously? How can he be 9????

Today is my little boy's birthday. I mean, he's not that little anymore, but he's still my little man! Question: if and when it's one of my kids' birthdays, will I always think...oh at about this time, I was on my way to the hospital. Oh, this was the time that my dad came by the hospital before he went to the Baylor football game. Or, oh, this is when Dr. Moore told me you were stuck and we had to have an emergency c-section...and here, at 9:36 pm (Central) is when you were born! Will it always be that way? I find that every birthday of H or M, this is how I go through my day.
Like I said, H got stuck...he decided to try to see the outside world before he actually made it, and when baby's do that, well, they get stuck, no way, no how will they be born naturally. So, off I went to have a c-section! And, here is a picture of H the next morning...seriously, we called this our prize fighter picture. He just looked so banged up! He recovered quickly though.

And, look at my handsome guy now!

Happy Birthday H....I Love You!!!

Scrappin Away

I'm not sure what has gotten into me this weekend! It started Thursday night when I decided to start a project that Holly, Molly, and I found while shopping at a scrap store in Phoenix. I'm not done with it, but promise I will show you when I am finished! It's a pretty big undertaking. I need to finish it b/c I'm almost positive I'm making one for each of the kids' teachers for Xmas.

Then today, as I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner and checking my email, I got inspired again. I've been wanting to get some chore charts done for the kids. We've decided as incentive to do chores, we are going to pay them in Disney Dollars. That way, they'll have money to spend as they please when we go to DisneyWorld in 75 days! WWOOOOO HOOOOO!

Anyway....I started the chore charts. I knew I wanted to do a hybrid project of sorts. (A few weeks ago, I'd bought 12 x12 set of 4 cork boards and just knew it would be perfect for this! Then, I can rotate the charts out every week!) I did the "chart" part as an 8x8 digital page. Then, after I printed them, I added the names at the top of the cork board with staples...SO EASY! And, then decorated the little labels for each board!

I just really love how they turned out! SO CUTE! Now, to put them to use!

Kids have gone Back To School

Today is a somber day here in the US. It has been for 8 years. As I listened to the news while driving from dropping my kids off at school, I remembered where I was on 9-11. I was still teaching 2nd grade and was on my planning period, talking to my Instructional Facilitator. The radio was on and programming was interrupted. We quickly went to the Teacher's Lounge to turn on the tv. We watched the second plane hit the building, in shock. My son was about to turn 1 on the 16th, and all I could think of was how thankful I was that he was safe. I cannot imagine the hurt and tragedy that loved ones experienced, and I do think of them today and send a prayer their way. Where were you?

I couldn't have a post today without mentioning 9-11, but I also know, as a former resident of NYC, life does move on. We have family that we love, friends that we cherish, and kids that have started school in the past couple of weeks.

9-11 is also a New Release Friday at Scrapmatters. Today, I want to show you my newest product: "Back To School" Journal Boxes. There are tons of possibilities with this fun element! It is a great way to chronicle your child returning to or starting school!

Here is something I did with them using Kamping Rocks, A Stone's Throw, and Pebbles and Butterflies:

As I said, life goes on. On 9-11-2002, one year later, my friend Tracey, had her baby girl. So, today is A's birthday. As a little tribute to her...I made this page of her. This is her first day of school with her new teacher--I left off the teacher's name since I don't know her and don't have permission to use it. (Isn't A adorable!?!?!) (Pebbles and Butterflies; template by Sya's Blueprints)

And, the Hunnies also made a few layouts.

These journal boxes really are versatile! So many possibilities, and not just for back to school either! Go grab them at my store! And, don't forget to look at the other wonderful new releases! Here is a page I did with Jenn Barrett's new "Autumn Blush" and Andilynn's new "I Love" template set!

And now, I have a few show offs to reveal!

Each person who sent in a Show Off will receive my "Back to School" Journal Boxes as a gift!

If you have used any of my stuff--any little thing, even a freebie! Send me the image or a link to your page at hhaynay at gmail dot com! I'd love to have YOU as a show off next week!!! All Show Offs are due by Thursday night!

I hope everyone has a blessed day and a great weekend! See you next time!
