Home Again

I'm a traveling girl! Long ago, we had made plans to meet Heath's parents for the Fourth of July in Crested Butte a few days after our move. Who knew the move would be so awful, but we went anyway...much to my stressful objections. I thought it would be too much! I was wrong. After we got there, I finally got to relax a bit! I didn't realize how stressed I'd been and it was awesome to do nothing for a few days! I even took naps and slept "late"! We ate yummy meals-as always and played "Hand and Foot" for hours. I apparently rock at individual play, but Sam and I could NOT beat Heath and Molly. Revenge will wait until August!
Anyway, Molly and Sam have been wanting us to come to CB for the 4th for years, but since Heath has worked every 4th of July the past 5-6 years, not possible. They wanted us to experience the quirky, fun, small-town 4th that is CB! And, we LOVED it! I cannot share all of the photos that I want, but I have LOTS!

M and I at the pancake breakfast waiting to ride the cherry picker.

Heath, M, and I on the cherry picker. AKA firetruck basket!

M sitting in a firetruck. Loves it!

M picking flowers out of the baskets on the MAIN street of CB. Molly and I were shopping, Heath was walking Emma...Sam was in charge of M. So, instead of stopping her from picking the flowers? yes, he took pictures...and I'm so glad! LOL!

After the parade, we went home. Heath decided to play with Emma. Well, when he threw the dummy and directed her to get it, she leaped off a high ledge, fell, and cut open her belly. The laceration was nasty. I saw it, but didn't mean to! Anyway, of course, Heath had the supplies to stitch her up while Sam and I held her. She was awesome! So, of course, I had to take pictures!

Heath had to make sure Emma still loved him. She does.

So, we came back home today. I'm so ready to get my office organized, my calendar updated, and start designing again! Oh, and to unpack my house too! LOL! Hope everyone has a great day! Happy Belated Fourth of July! May FREEDOM ring for everyone!
